Wild Apple Acres- a new change

Autumn Sunsets

I started my blog, ‘Mia Lanina’ back in 2014. It was a way of documenting our travels while we were living overseas. It also became a means of documenting my recipes. I gathered much culinary inspiration from our adventures abroad but also wished to share the simple recipes I had learnt from my family.

Preserving for the Winter

Since our return home, our lives have changed drastically. No longer do we fly off for 48-hour trips to Spain, share lunch with Moroccan families or linger down Italian cobblestone streets eating gelato.

These days, our lives are full of adventure of a different kind. We have become parents to a divine little boy. We have bought ten acres of rolling hills. We grow our own food. We milk our own cow. We make our own cheese, yoghurt, butter.

Such a drastic change in our lifestyle required a bit of an ‘image change’, if you will.

So we are saying goodbye to ‘Mia Lanina’.  We would like to welcome you to ‘Wild Apple Acres’. Follow us in our journey to self sufficiency. We are always learning as we go and hope to share our experiences and inspire those of you who are thinking of making a similar change.
